The hometown of Andy Warhol has always been known for art and creativity as well, and so Hellbender Vinyl combines both the imaginations and the grit of Pittsburghers!
About the Hellbender
Why are we named Hellbender Vinyl? It's because the hellbender salamander is the official state amphibian of Pennsylvania! And because the hellbender is endangered, we also thought it was an appropriate name to highlight our environmentally-friendly approach to pressing vinyl records.
Not only does Hellbender Vinyl's facility feature the latest in energy conservation technology, with a modern closed-loop chiller system designed to conserve water, but a portion of the proceeds from every project pressed at Hellbender Vinyl will benefit the Western Pennsylvania Conservancy and their efforts to monitor hellbender populations.
