Spring is in The Air, and so is Our Record Store Day Event

Spring is in The Air, and so is Our Record Store Day Event

The ice is thawing, the flowers are popping out of the freakin dirt, the birds are chirping, some folks are starting to transition into ice coffee season from hot (though, I recognize a lot never transition out of ice coffee season in the first place) there are more shows happening - it feels like there’s a little glimmer of hope tucked in there, bringing new life.

I’m going to tell you about a show we hosted at The Government Center last Friday. Mother of Earl headlined, with Jack Swing and The Imaginatron Moving Company supporting. All three bands brought the energy you want to see when you go to a show, an energy that moves and inspires.

We at Hellbender are really excited to putting on more events. Not only that, but, on a personal note from me, Tory running events, I think we’re doing a good job. Crowds are coming out, and we’re really happy that we’re starting to become a source of community. Because really, that’s what we want. Community is how anything happens. It’s how Hellbender started in the first place. It’s why we keep going.

With that, I’ll remind you all that we have our biggest community event this Saturday at The Hellbender Vinyl Plant. We’re celebrating Record Store Day, and will have 16 bands selling merch, pizza from 77 Club, flash tats by Two Fish, and a pop up bar by Jackworth Ginger Beer. We’ll also be giving tours of the plant! If you’re a PGH local, please come, it’s gonna be a great time.

If you’d like to host an event at the Hellbender Plant, contact us at events@hellbendervinyl.com.
