Our Vinyl Scholarship Winners!
We are thrilled to congratulate the two recipients of our first ever vinyl scholarship - Brooke Annibale and Karl Blau! Each will receive $1,500 toward pressing their music to vinyl. These are two artists with deep roots, incredible stories, and music absolutely worth hearing on vinyl.
Brooke Annibale is a singer-songwriter with Pittsburgh in her heart and Rhode Island under her feet, with stops in Nashville along the way. Over the course of four full-length albums, she's racked up 44 million Spotify streams, syncs on Grey's Anatomy, One Tree Hill, Pretty Little Liars, and Vampire Diaries, and shared stages with artists like Guster, Josh Ritter, and Lucius. Her upcoming fifth record marks a major milestone — the first she's self-produced and mixed entirely on her own. She's currently running a Kickstarter to bring it to life, and plans to press the vinyl right in her hometown of Pittsburgh. We couldn't be more excited to support that.

Karl Blau has been making music since 1994, starting with lo-fi art-folk recordings to a 4-track in the woods of the Pacific Northwest. Since then, he's played bass with Earth, toured with Jenny Lewis (who tracked him down after hearing his songs in a coffee shop — truly), and collaborated with producer Tucker Martine on Introducing Karl Blau, a gorgeous record of reimagined 60s and 70s country cuts released on Bella Union in 2016. He's toured Japan, Australia, the UK, Europe, and just about every corner of the US. Now based in Philadelphia, he's still recording, touring, and producing — an endlessly creative force.
